On twitter I've been posting my experience with the Gundam series as I go through some of the iterations I've been wanting to check out. so far I've seen;
Mobile Suite Gundam
Mobile Suite Zeta Gundam
Gundam: War in the Pocket
Gundam 0083 (Star Dust Memories)
Gundam Wing + Endless Waltz
I skipped G Gundam cuz it was giving me diabetes. I just finished Season 1 of Iron Blooded Orphans so here's what I said on twitter.
Oh yeah so while twitter was burning. I finished the first season of Iron Blooded Orphans. Dude this shit was hitting HARD. it's such a polar opposite of the original series where the kids don't want to fight to the kids become downright bloodthirsty... I LOVE IT!! I like that this series takes a completely new take on the Newtypes, which before they were just empaths and can sense people's emotions and even just turns into telepathy, those people were seen as the next step in human evolution. In IBO it's the Alaya-Vijnana System which is a neural interface that's implanted into people's spinal cord and allows them to basically become the machine they're hooked up too. Through the series people with this system are seen as less than human... and the series follows a group of orphans that have all had this system forced onto them while they worked heavy machinery for literal slave wages.
The whole series is about their freedom and the freedom of people who are basically under the thumb of the earth's government forces
Really hard hitting series I highly recommend Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans. So far it's got the best everything for me from the fights, to the political drama. it's top teir all the way through!
I'm gonna hold off on season 2 for now cuz I'm going on vacation in a few days but I can't wait to pick it up again.
